Forbes Puts Diddy on Top of ‘Richest’ List-
Diddy has had a stupendous last 12 months. Besting the likes of Jay-Z and Dr. Dre by leaps and bounds, the Bad Boy mogul has topped the Forbes list for Hip Hop moguls, netting a stunning $550 Million dollars. Unlike the Forbes Richest list, which only measures annual earnings, this list ranked the rappers’ net worth.
Sean “Diddy” Combs likely racked up his bank roll from his Sean John and Enyce clothing lines, Ciroc vodka and upcoming TV network, Revolt. Diddy makes out like a fat cat with Jay-Z trailing by almost $100 Million. While last year, Diddy held the lead by a mere $25 Million, he has since soared to the front of the pack.
Sitting at No. 2 is Jay-Z with $460 Million. Dr. Dre, Birdman, and 50 Cent round out what the magazine calls the Forbes Five, a list of the richest hip hop moguls. Jay, Diddy, and 50 have been on the list since 2007, and show no signs of slowing up.
1. Sean “Diddy” Combs – $550 Million
2. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter – $460 Million
3. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young – $270 Million
4. Bryan “Birdman” Williams – $125 Million
5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson -$100 Million
A million here, a million there…
Lil Wayne Credits Skateboarding for Attitude Change-
Sitting down with MTV‘s new hip hop themed news entertainment show, “Hip Hop POV,” Lil Wayne had the chance to talk about some of the many positive additions to his life that he directly attributes to his newest hobby, skateboarding.
It’s clear that he’s been accepted by the boarding community, and Weezy just basks in the awesome that it brings to his life, even going as far as saying skating changed his attitude. When asked what skating has done for him he responded that it provided him new “attitude and alliances.”
“I’ve become friends with the most funnest and coolest people,” said Tunechi before making it clear that he still had much love for his rap crew as well.”I would pop a bottle with you guys any day,” said Weezy of his “rap friends”. “I would make it rain with you any day, brother.”
But more than anything the skate culture allows him to just be. It’s not about the clothes or status, it’s about the skating. And that is something Wayne can get with. “But these kids that come from the skate world, it is so different and so awesome. I can just let it all be. I don’t even wear jewelry no more.”
Wow. The skater boys got Weezy to drop the bling bling? We can see a definite change in the Young Money captain. Kudos!
J. Lo Asks Enrique Iglesias to World Tour with Her-
Jennifer Lopez is bringing all the Spanish flavor she can muster around the world with on her biggest tour to date. J. Lo will be making a months long trek to 60 cities on 4 continents and along for the ride will be “Tonight” singer and fan favorite Enrique Iglesias.
While this marks J. Lo’s biggest tour to date, Enrique is just coming off an 85-city tour in support of his ninth studio album, Euphoria. Basically, he’s practiced at this, which is likely one of the reasons J. Lo booked him.
While there was some drama about him joining the Brtiney Spears Femme Fatale tour (he thought he was co-headlining, not opening), in the end Nicki Minaj replaced him. It looks as though this time, J.Lo will share the billing with Enrique. Between the two superstars we really see a lot of sold out shows in their future. And with current boyfriend, Casper Smart, creatively directing the stage show, concertgoers are in for a real treat.
Lady Lopez kicks off her world tour in South America in June and circles back to the United States in late July, right around her 43rd birthday.
