Well, we’ve officially found the jerks of the week!

During last night’s Rangers-Yankees game, first baseman Mitch Moreland was just trying to be nice when he tossed a foul ball up into the stands, but it ended up causing a whole lot of drama!

A couple ended up catching it, but sitting right next to them was a little boy who burst into tears once he found out he wasn’t getting the ball.

At this point, most people would give the child the ball without even thinking twice, but for whatever reason, they didn’t.

Play-by-play announcer Michael Kay said it best while watching the replay, “Oh my God, they can’t give it to the kid? That’s awful! They’re actually like rubbing it in the kid’s face. Very cold.”

Even worse, it appears that they are flaunting their prize right in front of him, taking photos of the ball on their cell phone.

We hope this couple was absolutely oblivious to what was going on because otherwise, that’s just cruel!

Take a look for yourself:

Luckily, someone in the Rangers dugout found out what happened and sent up a replacement ball to the kid.

  • Do you think the couple should’ve given the ball to the boy? Vote in our poll!
