Rihanna Releases Part One of ‘Talk That Talk’ Documentary-
With her new movie on the horizon of release here in the United States, Rihanna hasn’t slowed down her hustle one bit. The 24-year-old Roc Nation artist wanted to give her fans a little more access into her process and has thus released the first part of a documentary that will show behind-the-scenes footage of the singer as she prepared to release her sixth and latest studio album, Talk That Talk.
In part one, fans get a closer look at the singer as she finishes up her LOUD tour, complete with the prank war her supporting roster played on her as they trekked across the world. They will also get a chance to see Rihanna visit her family in her hometown in Barbados.
Throughout the clip, Rihanna seems excited about the new album. We get to see her team listening and discussing the album as a whole, as well as specific tracks. It’s a Rihanna you don’t get to see very often.
If you have the 19 minutes to get into Rihanna, don’t hesitate. Check it out right here!
Part 2 of the documentary is scheduled for release later this week.
Nicki Minaj Releases ‘Starships’ Video Amidst Vevo Drama-
Originally Nicki Minaj’s brand new video for her smash single “Starships” was to debut on MTV and then be immediately available online for all her fans to see at their earliest convenience. The only problem is that “10 minutes” after it first aired, Vevo still hadn’t uploaded the video, which Nicki’s fans brought to her attention.
From there Nicki went IN on the video service provider, touting that they better get her video up on that site before she got angry. But Vevo didn’t let Nicki have the last say just yet, tweeting that they didn’t even have the video to upload, so Nicki should double check with own camp before she goes throwing mud.
Clearly we embellished the tone a bit, but it was a heated mess for a minute there. See for yourself:
In the end, Nicki called some people, Vevo got the video. And now YOU can watch it right here (oh yeah, it’s EXPLICIT, FYI)!
As far as we know, no one was fired…yet.
Usher Booked for Mid-May SNL Performance-
As we previously reported, SNL already has Rihanna lined up to perform in New York on that fateful Saturday Night Live stage in May, but that’s just the beginning of the summer heat on the sketch comedy show, as they have also booked Usher for the next weekend.
Make sure you set up your DVR and TiVo those weeks because those performances promise to be showstoppers. On May 5th, Rihanna takes the stage, while NFL Giants QB, Eli Manning handles hosting duties. The very next week, May 12th, SNL veteran Will Ferrell will be in charge of hosting while Usher will make sure the audience enjoys the music.
Ush plans to share some of the new tunes from his upcoming seventh studio album, Looking For Myself.
All we know is that if Mr. Raymond breaks down it down with “Climax,” you will be sure to hear a “Scream” or two. We made a funny.
Make sure you check out Usher’s new tunes on AMP Radio!
