Can you believe there’s only 2 weeks left of The Voice?
It seems just like yesterday when we were captivated by the blind auditions and now we’ve narrowed down the competition to the final 8 singers.
There’s a lot riding on tonight’s episode. Only one contestant from each team can move forward to the next round. During tomorrow’s results show, a combination of America’s vote and the coaches’ votes will decide which singers will represent Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton in the finals.
For Team Adam, Angie’s picking Mickey Mouse Club alum Tony Lucca. He’s picked up a lot of support online, including a tweet from his former co-hort Justin Timberlake!
Producer Angie says Team Cee Lo is “the hardest” for her to predict. Jamar Rogers and Juliet Lewis have consistently given the strongest performances all season long, so it’s a shame that one of them will have to go home.
When it comes down to Team Christina, Producer Angie is rooting for Lindsey Pavao. She certainly is popular on the iTunes charts, but just a couple weeks ago, America voted to keep Chris Mann over Lindsey, so it’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out.
Finally, Angie’s choosing Erin Willet from Team Blake to advance to the next round. Similarly to Team Christina, America saved Jermaine instead of Erin, but she’s been building some serious momentum in her past few performances.
As for song selection this week, Carson said there are “more ballads this week than [he] was expecting, but that’s because these people really want to highlight their voices now. They want to show they’re not messing around.”
The final 8 performances begin at 8pm PST tonight on NBC. Teams Blake and Christina are joining forces for a group performance of Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” and Teams Adam and Cee Lo will take on “All These Things I’ve Done” by The Killers.
