Greetings from across the pond!
For those of you who don’t know, Carson and the team at Contiki have sent Phone Op Christen and me on a fabulous vacation to Europe. All this week, we’ll be reporting on all the crazy shenanigans we’re getting into.
We landed in London a couple of nights ago, but we’ve already driven through 4 more countries since then: France, Belgium, The Netherlands, and finally Germany.

Yesterday was devoted to Amsterdam. The free-wheeling city was quite the experience! Just picture Vegas times 100! Luckily, we lived to tell the tale…barely.
We started with a canal cruise of the city. You’d think the gorgeous scenery would be glamorous enough, but the unlimited booze kicked things up a notch!

Our Contiki tour manager Lee led us through the narrow alleyways to show us all the scandalous activities that heat up at night. There’s no photography allowed in the Red Light District…but that’s probably for the best. I can’t even describe all the things that went down…it is definitely not G-rated!
After that, a bunch of us hit up a bar and later, Lee negotiated with a bouncer to get us into an underground dubstep club for only 2.50 euro. It was originally 10 euros, so we got a great deal. After dancing the night away, I passed out only for three hours because soon enough, it was time to wake up and explore more of the city by foot.
First, we went to see the Anne Frank house where she wrote her famous diary while in hiding from the Nazis. I definitely recommend going if you’re ever visiting the area.
Next, Christen and I went to check out one of Amsterdam’s famous coffeehouses. I don’t want to get into too much detail, but let’s just say that Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa would approve of what went down.
Before we knew it, it was time to board the coach (that’s Contiki’s fancy word for our top of the line bus) and now we’re currently en route to St. Goar, Germany. It’s this idyllic little town nestled in the hillside overlooking the Rhine River.
Finally, Christen and I went to a wine tasting in an underground candlelit cellar, more details on that later!

Anyway, I should wrap this up…until next time!
