Adam Levine Says He’s a Band Man-
Maroon 5‘s front man, Adam Levine, spoke with Entertainment Weekly about whether or not Overexposed, the band’s latest album, will be their last. The Los Angeles native confirmed that he was more than down for the band declaring that while he wasn’t sure they would continue as a band he was certain he’d never be a solo artist.
“Maybe not” Adam responded. “But one thing I know for sure is I’ll never be a solo artist.” This led to questioning about why he felt so strongly on the matter to which he said. “Being in a band is much more fun.”
The “Sunday Morning” singer referred to one of his idols and one of the world’s most iconic band, Bono and U2, as reasoning. “Look at a band like U2 that has been around forever, I’m not sure how people would react to a record called Bono. I don’t ever want to be that person. It’s much cooler to be in a band with my bros.”
Yeah, we think it’s cooler too!
T.I.’s Family Reality Series Returns this Fall-
Sitting down in New York, Tip touched why he did the show in the first place and why he continued with the second season of his family documentary. “I just think it was time for people to see who I was as a man,” he said.
He went on to explain that he didn’t want to be defined by “isolated incidents.” We assumed he meant being like arrested a lot and being in and out of the pokey from time to time.
It makes perfect sense that he wants to shift the focus on the positive aspects of his life. You can check out the fatherhood when the show gets back on the airwaves on September 3rd.
After the award show, the duo spoke with media about their awesome feat. As for their first major award, “It feels great; a dream come true. We’ve been thinking about this moment, dreamed about it and obsessed about it. Now it’s finally here.”
When it comes to their live performances though, they insist they fly like the man who made it famous. “We’re like athletes. Some artists just stand and sing. We perform two hours per show and do two shows a day. So we’re like Michael Jordan.” said Blu.
While we think most comparisons to MJ are far-fetched, we can certainly vouch for a great show from LMFAO, who did up last year’s AMP show, Pink at the Palladium in the utmost fashion.
The duo kicks off their new tour in Columbus, Ohio today. They hit the West side in June and will be shuffling through the Staples center on June 5th. AMP has your chances to win those tickets as well as a shot to board the AMP Party Plane to Miami to see them again! Click here for more details.
As per usual, AMP will keep you posted on the updates!
