Ciara Announces New Music: “This Is The Most Vulnerable I’ve Ever Been”
Ciara announced her return and the title of her upcoming album and lead single. This time, the singer who is known for being guarded about her life, promises to get personal with new music.
“This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my life and career,” Ciara told MTV News at MTV Movie Awards’ “Sneak Peek Week.” “I’m so confident with being vulnerable. At one point in time I was afraid to be as vulnerable as I am. It’s like my own personal journal when you get this record.”
Ciara revealed that the name of her new album is One Woman Army and she also said that her first single will be a dance track called “Sweat.”
“There are some very very personal moments,” she said. “But, of course, you gotta have the dance moments. There are moments when I damn near cried writing songs. But it was about pouring my heart into the record.”
Ciara hasn’t only been busy with her follow-up to 2010’s Basic Instinct, she has also been acting and promoting the comedy flick That’s My Boy in which she shares the screen with Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg. While she didn’t offer a timeline for her album release, That’s My Boy hits theaters on June 15.
