Will.i.am. Told to Unplug before Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Show-
Last week, Will.i.am had the distinct pleasure to perform for the Queen of England. Unfortunately, Will is not as versed with English culture as he is with beat pads and was in danger of making a horrible mistake: being on his phone on stage at the Jubilee!
The California native has become notorious for tweeting during the live episodes of The Voice UK, but this is on a whole new level. Will is said to be pretty much be addicted to his phone and so Cheryl Cole, whom he walked out with had to keep the Black Eyed Peas front man in check as they walked on stage in front of the Queen of England.
Cole, speaking to Graham Norton on his UK talk show said, “I actually had to warn him as we walked on to the stage. He had the phone at the ready. I’m not joking, I had to say to him, ‘Put that phone away right now before I kill you.'”
While we previously didn’t think Will.i.am would pull out his phone at an Obama fundraiser or something, this new evidence shows that he most likely would. Something tells me he would get more RTs or replies than flack for that over here though.
Lady Gaga Plans to Reveal Album Title in September-
Still in the midst of her highly controversial “Born this Way” tour in Asia, Lady Gaga is still churning out music like it’s her job (because it is) and has revealed that she will unveil the name of her new album in September.
“Exciting news little monsters! I’ve played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X,” tweeted the 26-year-old singer. From the looks of his that means her new record is more or less done.
Her co-manager, Vincent Herbert and long time collaborator, Lady Starlight have both heard the new record and the excitement is real. Herbert recently told MTV of his positive views of the album while it was still in the works. “[It’s] just [an] insane, great record. She’s on tour right now, but it’s just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her,” he said. “We’re doing it on the road right now, so it’s a little hard, but it’s going to be great.”
Still no word on how the big reveal will go down. So far we are banking on Gaga taking over Times Square or something maybe even a bit bigger.
