Rihanna Slated for Oprah Interview-

There is a point in many entertainers’ careers where they have the distinct opportunity to get interviewed by the Queen of daytime TV, Oprah Winfrey. For Bajan superstar, Rihanna, this will be her second encounter with Oprah, who took to Twitter days ago to confirm that she would be interviewing the singer.

Currently, neither Oprah nor her network, OWN, have released a specific date for the interview to air but did narrow down that it would take place in August.

Rihanna’s first time with Oprah was not quite an interview but a performance in which she participated to benefit the victims of the 2009 Haiti earthquake. Who knows what Oprah will bring up this time around? Rihanna’s name has recently been linked to a fight in a New York City club between the crews of Drake and Chris Brown.

Let’s not forget how unforgiving Rihanna has been to other interviewers from bringing up Chris Brown. We wonder if she’d have the audacity to get snappy with Oprah, or if Oprah will go there to begin with.

Aaah! We want it now!

Lil Wayne Calls Kanye West the “Most Fashionable” Rapper-

At the recent launch of his new clothes line, TRUKFIT, Lil Wayne sounded off on the fashion sense of some of his fellow rappers. “If I had to consider someone the most stylish rapper out there I would definitely say that would be Kanye West,” Wayne told The Showbiz 411.

But when asked about his Young Money cohort, Drizzy Drake, let’s just say Weezy wasn’t so quick to call him a fashionista.”I don’t think Drake is a fashion dude,” laughed Wayne. “He’s way more when it comes to getting dressed, meaning getting dressy. He’s light years ahead of me with that.”

Lil Tunechi even explained Drake’s casual wear to make his point, “As far as just kicking it, he’s the khakis, the camouflage pants, and some kind of sweater that says something with a bird on it or OVO or Take Care or something.”

That does sound about right. And Wayne knows his fashion. The New Orleans rapper has long been considered a fashion forward, emphasis on forward, kind of guy. In fact his collaboration with Supra shoes should be another unique outlet for Weezy to show off his style. Those hit stores in early 2013.

Trey Songz to Launch Women’s Clothing Line-

The reigning prince of R&B, Trey Songz visited  BET’s 106 & Park days ago to talk about his love for Kelly Rowland, staying true to his fans, and how he wants to outfit all the ladies in his new line, “Trey’s Angels.”

In regards to the clothes lines, Trey hopes to have the line up and running by the time school is about the time school’s back in session. He also pointed out that he was very involved in the process, so when you are wearing it, think of Trey!

“Around back to school time, around August 30th we’re releasing a full line. With jeans and dresses and like just making sure that it goes from a merchandise standpoint to a very fashionable standpoint. And I’m very involved in it.” Trey told the host. “I go to the showroom anytime I’m up top. W got a big conference going down next week and I’m very much involved. I’m very excited about it too, I think y’all will be.”

So far he hasn’t mentioned any retailers but this line will definitely be available on TreySongz.com.

And if you don’t know, Trey and Kelly Rowland are old friends, so the R&B singer made his plans known for a possible deut son or album with the former Destiny’s Child member. “We tryin’ to figure it out,” Songz said when asked if he’d do a R&B album with Rowland. “I love her. You know, I think she’s amazing. I think her voice is amazing.”

But most importantly, Mr. Steal-Your-Girl wanted his fans to know that he doesn’t plan to abandon R&B anytime soon, despite popular trends. “As an R&B singer and as somebody who’s made his career off of R&B, I see a lot of guys going in other directions musically and I wanna let my core fans know that the core and essence of what my music has been will always be there and [when] my album’s out you will get R&B.”

We like the honesty. Keep up the hits!
