Drake and Chris Brown Offered $1 Million to Finish Fight-
A lot has surrounded the alleged brawl between Drake and Chris Brown at W.i.P night club in New York City. Innocent victims of the assault have filed lawsuits, including NBA basketball player Tony Parker, whose cornea was sliced from flying glass in the club.
But while lawyers and celebs alike are scrambling to move on from the incident with the least amount of publicity possibly, Damon Feldman of Celebrity Boxing is trying to make a match of it.
“We have promoted 55 Celebrity Fights and this would be the most interesting of all,” Feldman said of a bout between Brown and Drizzy.
Reportedly the entertainers were offered $1 Million each for the potential fight, which could potentially take place in the Staples Center as soon as August 25th.
Celebrity Boxing has stated that “all the proceeds would be donated to a charity.”
Yeah. We wanna see that.
The Wanted “Feels Sorry” for Britney Spears-
The boys of UK pop group, The Wanted may be relatively new to the entertainment industry but they haven’t shy about telling the media just how they feel about their peers. Recently, Tom Parker said he feels sorry for Britney Spears.
Not only did he contend that she has weathered too much at a young age but that she lacked…personality. Those are pop star fighting words.
“Britney’s beautiful and a nice girl, but when we met her, I expected her to have more personality,” he told a magazine. “I feel sorry for her ’cause she’s had a lot of stress in the last five years, and she’s done so much from a young age.”
It’s true Britney has been in the spotlight for about half her life now, which is why it was interesting when he compared her to his band mate, Nathan, who is only now experiencing his first brush with worldwide fame.
“I guess it’s the same with Nathan,” said Parker. “He started young and I’m sure in ten years, if we’re still going, he’s going to be like, ‘When is this going to end?'”
This isn’t the first time The Wanted has targeted a 90’s icon. The boys also got into it with “The Voice” judge, Christina Aguilera, who they claimed did not give them a warm welcome when they first met. Apparently that feud continues as well.
Ne-Yo Credits Songwriting for Saving His Life-
Ne-Yo has long made his mark on the music industry through his writing. Whether the hit songs were for himself or others, Yo, who was born Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., has made his voice known in R&B and pop.
So we weren’t surprised to hear that Ne-Yo had garnered the recognition of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and presented with the Hal David Starlight Award. The award was given to young artists that are making a significant impact with their original music.Apparently he didn’t even have a speech prepared because he “still didn’t believe” he was standing there.
The “Champagne Life” singer may not have been able to articulate his thanks then, but he’s admitted that his mother had a huge hand in developing his ability. “I was a pretty riled up little kid, and if not for my mom giving me the pad and the pen and telling me to take my emotions and put them there, then there was no telling then I might I have been sticking you up or something,” joked Ne-Yo earnestly.
He’s gone on record to say songwriting has saved his life.
Well, we know it’s saved a few parties or two, but a life. That’s power.
Ne-Yo, however, was definitely more surprised than we were. “To have a person who that has written a song that I look up to or that I grew up listening to tell me that I am good at it to. That means the world to me,” Ne-Yo said of Hal David.
