Flo Rida Gives Us “Wild Ones” A “Good Feeling” In The Red Bull Sound Space At AMP Radio
In true West Coast style, international musical superstar Flo Rida rocked a blinged-out mic stand and microphone, giving a shout-out to Snoop Dogg for inspiring his glam Cali style at the Red Bull Sound Space at AMP Radio.
That wasn’t the only shine Flo Rida brought to the building; the “Wild Ones” hitmaker rolled up in a mirror reflective Bugatti to perform for the lucky audience. He was also wearing killer spiked sneakers, a coat of sweat from his athletic performance, and a smile that lit up the whole room.
After all, Flo Rida was at the Red Bull Sound Space at AMP Radio for an official album release party for his newest album Wild Ones–which came out today (July 3).
Whipping the crowd into a dancing frenzy, Flo Rida performed hits from the album like “Wild Ones” and “Good Feeling” while riding his bodyguard into the crowd, steaming the room up by stripping off his shirt and throwing his tattooed torso into the intimate pit, and letting girls come on stage to dance–including AMP Radio’s own Michelle.
Michelle asked Flo Rida the inspiration behind his album which includes collaborations from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Sia, LMFAO, Lil Wayne, and “the late, great Ms. Etta James.”
“A lot of times when I do these shows and I see people smiling and all that, it inspires me to want to put out another album,” said Flo Rida. “And, you know, just going around traveling around the world thanks to the fans and all the love and support.”
The performer–who admitted to going back to the “crates” and listening to an array of different artists like Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Tupac, and Lil Wayne–said that he would love to do a collaboration with Outkast and Beyoncé whom he toured with and was inspired by from her performance as Etta James in Cadillac Records.
When Michelle asked Flo Rida what his craziest collaboration was, he responded, “Oh, man, just starting off with the first single ‘Good Feeling. You know I watched Cadillac Records over and over again. Beyoncé doing renditions of Ms. Etta James and then you got AVICII with the Le7elz record. I was just, you know, like ‘Man, that would be crazy if I could put something down on it.’ So I got with Dr. Luke, AVICII, Ms. Etta James co-signed it…The fans definitely made it number one. ”
“You definitely gotta believe in yourself when no one else does. Hard work. You know–no pain, no gain. Put God first. And everything that’s well out will be perfect for you,” said Flo Rida, once again attributing all his “shine” to his devoted fans while modestly giving advice to someone trying to follow in his footsteps.
“You know my fans shine, so I gotta shine.”
