Running and hiding during a thunderstorm sounds like something a 5-year-old would do, but in the case of last night’s Twins vs. Rangers game, we can’t blame the grown men who scurried back to the dugout.
During the top of the 4th inning, an explosive thunderclap shook the ballpark…seriously, it sounded like something had exploded!
Luckily no one was injured by the lightning, which appears to have struck the upper deck canopy of the stadium, but all the drama delayed the game for a solid 45 minutes.
Rangers catcher Mike Napoli immediately ran for cover and even he had to laugh when watching back the footage.
The replay of this lightning strike has me cracking up.I can't stop laughing. It was a reaction and I was out of there. Look at the 1b coach—
