Oh boy…the whitest rapper this side of the Mississippi, Chet Haze (a.k.a. Chester M. Hanks), is back with a new single, “Do It Better.”
The son of mega A-list star Tom Hanks dropped his first track, a take off Wiz Khalifa’s hit song “Black and Yellow” awhile back.
“White and Purple was all about his school of hard knocks, Northwestern University.
I mean, what’s not to like about Chet?
I’m sure he’s had a tough life growing up in Malibu, north of South Central, which is home to some of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.
“Chet, time for dinner at Nobu.”
“Come on, mom! I ain’t gots time for sushi tonight. Why you sweating me? I’m spittin rhymes up in here over this sick beat in my state-of-the-art studio dad built for me, yo!”
“Also, will you ask dad if he can call Babyface for me? I need help with the hook on this track.”
“Sure, Chet. What my baby wants, my baby gets.”
To me, it’s like Malibu’s Most Wanted, but you be the judge.
