We’re used to people singing off key or flubbing up the lyrics to the national anthem, but during Luke Bryan’s rendition of the “Star-Spangled” banner at the MLB All-Star game, he did something we’ve never seen…he checked his watch!
Was he in a hurry or something?
Okay, it’s not as bad as it looks, but after being on the receiving end of some serious backlash, the country singer is apologizing.
Bryan admits he had some of the lyrics written on his hand, but only because he wanted to make sure he didn’t mess up.
And about the watch? He addressed that controversy on Twitter:
I did check my watch because I knew the stealth bomber would fly over 2 minutes in and I knew a started a little late.—
