If you’re a pop star enjoying some much-needed vacation, we’d expect the last thing you’d want to do is go out to a bar and sing.
But leave it to Katy Perry to go against status quo!
The “Part of Me” schlepped it out to Catalina, an island just off the coast of Southern California, for a little R&R.
While she was there, she stopped at karaoke bar El Galleon for an impromptu performance of Will Smith’s “Welcome to Miami.”
She tried to stay undercover by singing under the name “Katherine,” but it’s clear with all the cell phone recordings that her fellow bar buddies weren’t fooled.
Carson played back a bit of her karaoke rendition earlier this morning…take a listen:
Perry had a pretty good flow and it looked like she was having a ton of fun! At the end, she happily exclaimed, “I love my best friend!”
