Here’s a pretty incredible story coming out of Wyoming today.

Lexi DeForest was hiking with a friend in Vedauwoo Mountains when she fell down a trench and badly broke her ankle.

Her friend went to find help and while she was waiting alone for hours in the dark of night, she grabbed her cell phone to document her terrifying experience. It’s like a scene straight out of the film 127 Hours.

She posted the video on August 15th and it’s already racked up more than 187,000 views on YouTube.

Somehow, the Colorado State student is able to keep her cool and even joke about the situation.

“Oh, so this is me. I just broke my ankle. Eww. Second time now. This is me moving my foot and it’s really gross,” she described. “I’d show you more but if I looked at it, I might vomit on myself. And no one wants to see that. But, I don’t know first aid for a foot that is not attached to your ankle, I am doing the best I can.”

Eventually, her friend is able bring back some paramedics and after 2 surgeries, she is beginning the recovery process.

Watch her harrowing account below, but be forewarned, the clip contains explicit language and video of her extremely graphic injury.
