It seems like no one is immune from “Call Me Maybe” fever.

After spending several weeks atop the charts, Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song is still making headlines. This time, it’s thanks to none other than the very first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson!

As she introduced the song, she brought up a valid point:

“Oh my gosh, I love that song. But it kind of confuses me. Does it confuse anyone else?” she asked the crowd. “Before you came into my life I missed you so bad.” Who did you miss? Because you didn’t know them?”

The 30-year-old pop star has been performing a ton of different covers during her summer tour and if you ask Carson, he actually enjoys Clarkson’s rendition more than the original!
