Another day, another rumored American Idol judge.

As of today, Mariah Carey is the only confirmed member on the panel, but Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Pharell, Diddy, and Keith Urban are just some of the names floating around.

But you know who won’t be joining them? Miss Katy Perry.

The pop star allegedly turned down $20 million, yes $20 MILLION, for just one season of judging!

That would have made her the highest-paid judge in reality television, surpassing Mariah Carey’s $18 million.

According to TMZ, producers for the reality singing competition pursued her for weeks, but Perry felt it wasn’t the right career choice.

Back in July, Perry explained to The Hollywood Reporter, “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it’s not right for me yet.”

  • Do you think Katy Perry would make a good judge? Who would you like to see on the American Idol panel? Sound off in the comments!
