There’s no denying it…this season is jam-packed with both new and returning daytime talk shows.

Let’s see…there’s Ellen, Anderson Cooper, Bethenny, Wendy Williams, and new shows from Katie Couric, Steve Harvey, Ricki Lake, Jeff Probst…did we miss any others? We wouldn’t be surprised.

Well, Carson decided that he should weed some out, so he used his television expertise to determine who should quit while they’re still ahead.

It’s basically like your fantasy football draft…but with less men in spandex!

Obviously, Ellen’s the most successful of them all, but who else should make the cut?

“Here’s what I would do,” Carson declared. “I would take Anderson Cooper off the air. I like AC 360 Anderson…I could care less when he’s talking to Toddlers and Tiaras mothers.”

“Steve Harvey, I particularly like a lot. I just like him a lot. So I think there’s room for Steve Harvey.”

But Carson just isn’t sold on Survivor host Jeff Probst’s new show. “No. Pull him off. Cancel him. It’s like the NFL teams today. You gotta go from 90 to 75. You gotta cut.”

The show with the biggest buzz goes to former Today anchor Katie Couric. Many are speculating that she can fill the hole that Oprah left. “Let’s give it a shot,” Carson said. “That could go. That could fly.”

That left one more slot for Carson to fill. “I’ve got to choose between Ricki Lake or Wendy Williams because they cater to a similar audience, I would imagine…Wendy Williams looks like an SNL sketch to me. It doesn’t look like a real show. And I like Ricki.”

And there you have it. Ellen, Katie Couric, Steve Harvey, and Ricki Lake…that’s the daytime talk show schedule according to Carson! Easy enough, right?

Take a listen to what else he had to say below:
