There isn’t much to watch on TV during the summer, but one show that Carson makes sure to keep up with is America’s Got Talent.

The program sets itself apart from other reality competitions because it allows people of all talents to compete against each other for a chance at winning the $1 million prize.

This season, most of the headlines have gone to Andrew De Leon, the goth opera singer, but today Carson revealed a couple of his favorites from last night’s episode.

First up is comedian Tom Cotter. He let judge Howie Mandel choose what topic he would riff about and luckily for him, it turned out pretty well!

The judges were eating up his edgy and fresh material.

Much to Carson’s surprise, however, the judges weren’t loving 16-year-old Bria Kelly.

He loved her country-fied version of Pink’s “Perfect” and pointed out that she would do well on his show, The Voice.

Sharon Osbourne was hoping for more “emotion” and Howie Mandel didn’t think Kelly stood out from the pack of contenders. Howard Stern disagreed with his colleagues, noting that her vocals were technically sound.

Take a listen to what else Carson thought about yesterday’s episode below:
