Apple announced the iPhone 5 yesterday, which is basically taller, thinner, lighter and faster with a bigger screen, but the bottom line is it’s still a phone.
Apple is such an enormous company that it’s valued at $620 billion and is more profitable than all the listed companies in Ireland, Greece, Portugal and Spain put together.
It’s been said that the release of the iPhone 5 will help to boost our economy. I myself still have an older version of the iPhone and while I like the design of the new version, do I really need one?
Everybody is on their devices so much as it is that human interaction has been lost. I think it’s a bad thing for everyone to want to keep up with the Joneses or feel the need to be the first one of their friends to have it.
Ask yourself, do you need the new iPhone? Could you better use the money somewhere else? Can you even truly tell the difference?
Well, our good friend of the morning show, Jimmy Kimmel, put that exact question to the test on his show last night asking people on the street what they think of the new iPhone 5, which actually isn’t out yet.
