This past weekend Avicii took over the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium for 3 back-to-back nights of music, visuals, and feel good vibes. The Swedish electronic dance music DJ brought down the house with his transitions from heavy bass tracks to deep house to trance- all while keeping the crowd mesmerized.

Aside from the eargasmic sounds, Avicii’s stage production was vibrant, colossal and visually stimulating.  Up at the top of a very large model of the human head, just inside what would be the scalp, stood Avicii…blowing everyone’s mind.  (hence the reason why he was standing inside where the brain would be)

The giant head is so appropriate for this 23-year old superstar because everything that’s happening- from the blasting beats to the explosions of neon light-is on such a superhuman scale.  The only thing to do is to dance your sweaty butt off.  And that is what went down this weekend…3 times in a row.
