Are you a Voice super fan? Well, you’re in luck!

Carson just so happens to host the hit NBC show and after each episode, he treats us to his own take on the most talked-about performances.

So without any further ado, let’s dive into some highlights from last night’s blind auditions!

Melanie Martinez – “Toxic”

Carson first told us about Melanie yesterday during his exclusive precap. The teenager put her own spin on Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” It was so captivating, three of the coaches spun around for her.

“I loved Melanie Martinez, the quirky 17-year-old with the gap in her teeth in the beginning,” Carson said this morning. “She walked out with a tambourine and then they took a cutaway shot like a minute into her performance and all of a sudden you realize, she was like someone you see on Third Street Promenade, like a street performer.”

It was a tough choice, but Melanie ended up choosing Team Adam.

Cupid – “Cupid Shuffle”

There was so much talent going around last night that even the some truly gifted performers still ended up getting the boot.

Cupid was one of the two contestants last night who have built up a following by going viral on the internet. He chose to sing the song that’s defined him for his entire career, but it didn’t go over well with the coaches.” That being said, they let him down easily and devoted several minutes of the show to his story.

“Somebody like Cupid, the guy that had that viral video. At least he got a good look. I mean, he got a no, but we refer to that as a good no because he got a lot of time on TV. Cee Lo was like, ‘Well let me hear you sing.’ He sang Marvin Gaye and then he got a little bit of validation.”

Nicholas David – “Stand By Me”

Carson was feeling a little bit of deja vu while watching Nicholas David!

“I thought Nicholas David was great. Nicholas David had a great story. He’s from Eagan, Minnesota, which happens to be where my girlfriend’s family is from. You know, small suburb of the Twin Cities and you know, he lost a lot of weight. He was drinking a lot. Sounds a lot like my story! Then met the love of his life and has two children. Wait, this is my story! Wait a second!”

David sang the Ben E. King classic “Stand By Me,” which was just offbeat enough to get Cee Lo Green to press his button.

“He was funky though and he’s become a real character on the show, so keep an eye out for Nicholas David…Cee Lo was the only one to turn around, but I can tell you he holds his worth.”
