‘The Voice’ Recap: Cassadee Pope Shines With Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn!’
It’s Wednesday and you know what that means…it’s time for another recap of The Voice!
Last night, the blind auditions continued with some pretty incredible performances.
Charlie Rey – “Home”
The smog shop technician took a risk by performing a Blake Shelton song, but luckily for him, it paid off.
Not only did he nail his audition, the ladies loved him too!
“I couldn’t catch your name because these girls wouldn’t stop screaming,” Shelton joked. “You just have that calm, cool factor.”
Shelton and Adam Levine both turned their chairs around and unsurprisingly, Charlie decided to go with Team Blake.
IJ Quinn- “Virtual Insanity”
And then there was the pig farmer from North Carolina! IJ’s audition is one of the reasons why the blind auditions are so compelling.
Needless to say, they were absolutely shocked once their chairs spun around. In the end, IJ’s voice wasn’t quite strong enough to pique the coaches’ interest, but he was definitely one of the more memorable performers of the night.
Cassadee Pope – “Torn”
Out of all the contenders from yesterday’s episode, only one was able to get all four coaches to press their buttons.
Now that the band has gone their separate ways, Cassadee is eager to kick start her solo career.
All the coaches were seriously impressed with her rendition of the Natalie Imbruglia tune “Torn” and things got heated as each coach made their pitch.
The blind auditions come to a close next week and then it’s on to the battle rounds!
