Tuesday morning Ellie Goulding appeared on BBC’s Radio 1 to promote her sophomore album Halcyon. When it came to for a live performance, she opted to go in another direction by covering “Some Nights” by fun.

She truly made the song her own, by doing a stripped down acoustic version. Starting off with a soft a cappella harmony, Ellie showcases her vocal talent. The song then gets a rich deep sound when the full band comes in.
