Garlic. It’s pretty much the best thing ever…right?
Sure, it may not be the best choice for your breath, but it’s delicious and keeps away the vampires!
Founder Mike and manager Jordan, better known as the Funky Garlic Junkies, stepped up to the mic this morning to explain why they chose to go garlic:
Mike decided to take the plunge into the food truck biz because he figured it was an easy way to get delicious food to the masses. He already had experience working for BaconMANia, so he knew exactly what he was getting into.
Garlicscapes just celebrated their 1-year anniversary and when you take a bite of their award-winning patty melt, it’s easy to understand why business is booming.
And if it wasn’t clear enough already, everything on the truck contains garlic. Yes, even the desserts!
The truck goes through 15 pounds of garlic per day and in case you were wondering, Mike actually has a separate washer and dryer at his house because his clothes stink up everything they come into contact with!
Garlicscapes also prides themselves on their delicious grilled cheese. Unlike your run-of-the-mill sandwich, they grill the cheese on the outside and it’s magically delicious.
Eventually, Mike would love to open up a dive bar that serves really good food, but until that day comes, he and the whole Garlicscapes crew are more than happy to roam the streets of SoCal feeding all of us food truck fanatics.
