Here at AMP Radio, we’ve very health conscious. And by health conscious, I mean we only eat half the box of Oreos in one sitting!
So today’s food truck, The Flip Truck, gave us the best of both worlds: delicious burgers and bite-sized portions!
We didn’t have to feel guilty…so we ate 7 of them. Oops!
Chef/owner Heidi and “Flippie” Sarvy joined Carson in studio this morning to tell him all about their grub:
The Flip Truck opened up shop about two years ago, but Heidi’s been cooking ever since she was a little girl growing up in Kona, Hawaii. She experimented with all the amazing things growing in her mother’s garden and neighbors would drop off local staples like Kona coffee beans, macadamia nuts, avocados, fresh-caught Ahi, ono, swordfish, wild boar, and turkey.
After earning her culinary degree, Heidi got into the high-end catering business. A few years ago, she decided she wanted to take her food to a more personal, accessible, and affordable level, so that’s how The Flip Truck came to be!
The truck specializes in every type of slider you can dream of….seriously, beef, fish, chicken…they have it all!
All of their entrees are made with the freshest ingredients including Prime, All-Natural Red Angus Beef from Montana, American-Style Kobe Beef from Hawaii, Wild-Caught Pacific Ocean Ahi, and All-Natural Jidori chicken.
The bread is baked fresh every day and most cheeses are hand-chosen local Artisan.
For the vegetarians out there, The Flip Truck makes a mini-grilled cheese that is absolutely to die for, so there’s something for everyone!
