The Halloween season is in full effect.  Hopefully you have some scary movie nights planned, and a good idea of what your costume will be.  Now all you need is a scary haunted house to run through.  The good news is LA is full of some of the scariest attractions during the month of October.  Here’s a list of some of the best haunted houses around.

Blackout Haunted House

Located in Downtown LA, this is the haunted house Carson Daly was talking about.  Supposedly it’s so scary; you have to sign a waiver just to walk through.  You also have to go alone and be over 18.  Sorry kids.

Paranoia Haunted Attraction

11 months out of the year, bums and no parking are the scariest thing about Santa Monica.  During October, Paranoia takes over.  The theme dates back to the depression, where Santa Monica was home to gambling, prohibition and murder.

Hell Break LA

Just the thought of a Zombie Apocalypse is scary enough.  Add in walking through a post-apocalyptic themed haunted prison built inside an old abandoned department store, now you’ve got us terrified.  Hell Break LA is a walk through a secret government prison, where “experiments” are taking place.

Blumhouse of Horrors

Who better to scare you than the producers of Paranormal Activity, Insidious and Sinister?  Blumhouse of Horrors takes you on a intense tour through one of Los Angeles’ most haunted locations.  Explore the corridors of this possessed theater whose stage was home to one of the world’s most twisted dark art magicians.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

This is the fourth year of LA Haunted Hayride, and they are calling to the greatest year yet.  Get scared from 360 degrees of freight, when you ride on the back of a hay covered wagon.   Dress warm though, because you will get wet.
