Halloween is less than two weeks away…is your costume ready to go?
Shopping for Halloween can be so expensive. Most costumes at the big stores cost $50 or more.
If you’re on a tight budget, do-it-yourself is the way to go.
How can you dress up like some of this year’s biggest celebrities without cleaning out your wallet? Find out below!
Honey Boo Boo
America’s favorite pageant girl is bound to be a popular costume at your Halloween parties this year and her look isn’t that complicated.
Make your own pageant dress out of a pink tutu and sparkly pink top. Wear a tiara and sash.
Curl your hair like there’s no tomorrow and don’t forget to bring along some go-go juice! (That’s a mixture of Mountain Dew and Red Bull for those of you not in the know!)
“Gangnam Style” is one of the most popular viral videos of 2012, so why not dress up like PSY this season?
We posted a detailed how-to of his get-up a couple weeks ago, but if you can’t afford the $50 blazer, any blue or green tuxedo jacket will do.
Pair it with some black slacks, a white collared shirt, bowtie, tuxedo shoes, and some killer shades.
Just be forewarned that if you decide to be PSY this Halloween, you will be asked to horse dance every five minutes!
Cee Lo Green
The Voice coach is known for his offbeat sense of style and it’s fairly simple to rock his look.
Step one: Find a track suit…if you have some extra time, go nuts and bedazzle it.
Step 2: Bling yourself out with sunglasses and gold chains.
Step 3: Finish off your ensemble with some flashy Adidas.
Carry around a stuffed cat or cockatoo for added effect and bonus points if you bring along a spinning red chair!
Name doesn’t ring a bell? He’s the guy who sky dived from space this past weekend as part of the Red Bull Stratos project.
To copy his look, get your hands on a white jumpsuit and white motorcycle helmet.
Plaster the Red Bull logo all over your body and add a white backpack to mimic his parachute and voila! You are now the coolest man in the world!
If you’re super lazy, this costume is a winner. All you need is a Speedo, fake silver medal, swim cap, goggles, and of course, a grill.
Also required? A healthy dose of confidence to walk around half naked all night!
Walk around saying “Jeah!” all night and no one will be able to tell the difference between you and the real deal!
