For today’s Viral Video of the Day, I was going to post one of two little Irish kids singing Rihanna’s “We Found Love” because it’s cool to see little guys doing their thing.

I’m still going to post it, but then I saw this a-hole guy’s engagement proposal to his girlfriend.

The video is 8 minutes long and includes a very well-crafted and produced montage of people singing to her, which leads to letters on the beach and a video montage on a TV in the sand.

I’m down with having a crafty, sneaky kind of proposal. The surprise is always the best. We posted one a while back of a guy faking a plane about to crash, which was rad, but I’m over it now.

I think I can speak for most men out there and say enough is enough. Guys, just ask for the girl’s hand. No need to produce it up so much and if you do, keep it for yourselves and have it as a family heirloom.

You don’t have to share it with the world on YouTube, hoping for it to go viral…”Oh, look at me and how good MY proposal was,” which basically says “suck it” to all the guys that do it the old-fashioned way.

Whatever happened to a nice dinner and maybe a proposal by the Golden Gate Bridge, or in Paris by the Eifel Tower, or better yet, at a picnic with no one around to share the moment with the one you love?

Stop with this nonsense already, Mr. Romantic…we’re all happy for you, but some of us have a hard enough time getting that four-letter word out of our mouths, let alone producing a short off-Broadway piece to shove it down everybody’s throat.

Good job though, but STOP already…keep it simple like these two little Irish bros did! Sorry got to run…the hostess just called my table…bitter, party of one.
