Since Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, Carson and his family decided to celebrate at his parents’ house over the weekend.
Carson has a 3-year-old son and infant daughter, along with a bunch of nieces and nephews, so his parents decided to go all-out when it came to decorating.
All week long, his mother has been texting him updates on how preparations for “Fort Goblin” was going.
She even found a way to work in The Voice. They compiled a playlist of scary songs and then they had the kids decide if they’ll turn around their chair.
When it was time for the trick-or-treating portion of the festivities, she instructed Carson to have a camera ready at the guest house door for a moment the kids will “never forget.”
When they rang the doorbell, Carson’s 80-year-old father answered the door dressed as the wolf from Red Riding Hood in her grandmother’s nightgown.
But that’s not all. He took it upon himself to smear lipstick on his cheeks and lips to really get into character.
“He looked terrifying! Not in a good way,” Carson described. “The kids were mortified, but they just didn’t even recognize him.”
