If you’ve ever heard or had someone say to you, “You’re a girl. You can’t do that,” then apparently you haven’t heard of Sam Gordon because I don’t think she knows the phrase “I can’t.”
Sam is a 9-year-old from Utah who played soccer, but after watching some college football Saturdays with her father, she decided to switch sports from soccer to football.
Sam plays in the Salt Lake City Conference in the Gremlin age group in Utah. She out-performed all of her teammates in practice to win the starting gig as quarterback of her team, which would prove to be a back-breaker for the opposing teams she would face in the league.
In Sam’s first-ever season playing football, she went on to score 35 touchdowns on 232 carries for a total of 1,911 yards and an 8.2 yards-per-carry average. Wow, she’s a little ripper on the field!
Check out her highlight real from her first season…look out USC, you may have another Kenjon Barner problem to worry about.
