We imagine running for president of the United States is an emotional roller coaster.
Apparently, all the excitement finally caught up with newly re-elected Barack Obama.
A video shows the commander-in-chief breaking down into tears while thanking his hard-working Chicago campaign staff.
“It’s not that you remind me of myself, it’s that you’re so much better than I was. You’re smarter and you’re better organized and you’re more effective,” Obama praised the small crowd in a clip posted on his YouTube channel.
“…What you guys have done means the work that I’m doing is important. And I’m really proud of that. I’m really proud of all of you,” Obama said as he wiped away his tears.
