Another Monday has come and gone, which means Carson is here to recap the most memorable moments from yesterday’s episode of The Voice.

He pulls double duty as both the host of our humble morning show and the hit singing competition. Carson shares behind-the-scenes info that you can’t get anywhere else!

Producer Angie attended last night’s show and was impressed with the final 12.

“When you’re there, everybody sounds so great,” she explained. “I really think the talent this year is ridiculous! I don’t even have a favorite yet.”

Judging by yesterday’s performances alone, Angie thinks Bryan Keith, Cassadee Pope, and Trevin Hunte will have no problem sailing on through to next week.

“He brought the house down,” Angie said of Hunte. “Every single person was on their feet. The coaches were on their feet. It was the loudest when he performed in there and I think he might’ve stolen the show last night.”

Carson asked Angie to predict tonight’s bottom two and she personally thinks Cody Belew and Melanie Martinez may be getting the boot.

“I like her a lot. I think she’s so cute,” Angie said, “But I think they were the ones that probably had the weakest night.”

The vocalists were ambitious with their song selection, taking on Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Boston.

“Of all the shows I’ve been a part of, [it was] probably one of the most difficult groupings of songs,” Carson explained. “So you saw some of our singers maybe struggle a little bit last night, but they really tackled some hard songs.”

Several of them received some pretty sobering critiques from the coaches, which took Producer Angie by surprise.

“The coaches were giving some feedback to Amanda Brown who when I was was hearing, I was like, ‘Wow! That girl can really sing. She’s killing it,’ and then their feedback was that she missed some things, she was a little pitchy.”

Take a listen to Carson’s full recap below:

The Voice likes to keep things fresh, so unlike last season, the coaches will not have a say in who goes home tonight.

The bottom two vote-getters will be eliminated, so it’s possible that at the end of the season, one coach could take credit for mentoring final two or perhaps three contenders.

Find out which singers get saved by America’s vote tonight at 8/7c on NBC!
