We’ve been avoiding writing about the whole General Petraeus affair gossip this whole week, mostly because we had a hard time keeping up with the confusing details.

In case you haven’t heard, CIA Director General David Petraeus resigned from his post after news surfaced that he was in a romantic relationship with the woman writing his biography.

Things got really complicated once officials found hundreds of emails containing sensitive information passed back and forth between Petraeus, the biographer, his family friend, and a CIA agent.

Thank goodness, Stephen Colbert cleared it up for us Thursday night with a hilarious segment.

It involves clandestine affairs, shirtless sexting, and possibly classified information…seriously, can it be any more scandalous?
