We make a lot of excuses for getting into car accidents: bad weather, talking on our cell phone, and blaming it on the other guy, however, Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence has a particularly hilarious explanation for her recent fender bender.
On The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, she recounted a story about driving in Georgia when she came upon a parade.
The participants were wearing shirts that said “Boobs” in support of breast cancer awareness, but all Lawrence could make out was “Boo” and assumed the eccentric reality TV child star was somewhere in the crowd.
Apparently, Lawrence is a big fan because she was completely distracted by all the commotion.
“I was like, ‘Whoa, does that mean there’s Honey Boo Boo?'” she told host Jay Leno. “So I started craning my neck and I saw a little girl, and I was like, ‘That’s Honey Boo Boo!'”
She ended up rear-ending the car in front of her and was forced to admit the embarrassing reason why.
“I’m sorry that I hit your family,” she said. “I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo.”
