The holidays are upon us and with it comes shopping, travel, time with family and friends, and New Year’s Eve celebrations to cap off this hectic time of year.

With the new age of media we live in, the end of every year means an overabundance of recaps of the year’s best and worst of everything.

Mash up season has officially kicked off and the first of its kind has surfaced.

It’s a year-end recap of the top pop songs of 2012, featuring the likes of Maroon 5, Adele, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Goyte, Katy Perry, and more.

The 8-minute mash up was said to have taken over 500 hours to complete…not sure about you, but I’m sure there is a better way to spend 500 hours of your life than to blend 55 different pop songs into one 8-minute version. It is, however, very well done!
