Skylar Grey has become the vocalist everyone wants on their track.  Dr. Dre enlisted her help to sing the chorus on “I Need A Doctor.”  Eminem had Skylar use her abusive relationship to pen the lyrics to “Love The Way You Lie.”  However, it’s EDM artist Kaskade’s song “Room For Happiness” that got her a GRAMMY nomination.

Nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album, Skylar Grey is really proud of Kaskade and their nomination.

“He heard my voice on ‘Coming Home,’ and then you know I guess a lot of the dance music people are always looking for singers to work with on their albums.  So, he reached out to me and thought we’d give it a shot and it worked out.”

Don’t expect Skylar’s forthcoming album, Don’t Look Down to be dance heavy.  She describes it as more mid-tempo than anything else.  However, the same quality vocals you’re use to, will be a prominent part of the album.

Don’t Look Down is expected to be released Spring of 2013.  Her single, “C’mon Let Me Ride” featuring Eminem is currently available.
