‘The Voice’ Honors Sandy Hook Victims With ‘Hallelujah’

The Voice may be busy getting ready to crown a winner, but Monday night, they slowed down and took a moment to remember the victims of the heartbreaking Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Carson, all of the coaches, and many of the contestants from this season gathered on stage to perform an emotional rendition of “Hallelujah.”

In each of their hands, they held up placards with the names of those who did not survive. It was a simple, yet poignant moment that we don’t usually get to see play out on reality television.

“We were trying to figure out what was the right, appropriate thing to do,” Carson shared. “We rehearsed it. There was not a dry eye in the house.”
