One week closer to the LA Marathon and week 5 is complete. On Saturday we completed 5 miles as a team and each practice here on out will get longer and longer. When I first did the San Diego it was a great feeling to accomplish a new personal record each week and I look forward to do that again for the LA Marathon. Now with the long mileage ahead comes the proper way to keep your-self hydrated. Whether you’re training just to train or you’re training for a Half or Full Marathon these are some good things to think about on Hydration.
Water makes up 60% of our body weight and performs many critical functions as follow.
- Nourishes Cells
- Tranports Food thoughout the body
- Maintains blood Volume
- Maintains blood pressure
- Cushions and lubricates joints
- Regulates body temperature
- Eliminates waste from the body
- Stay properly hydrated!
