Week 6 & 7 of the LA Marathon has come to a close. For week 6 I was absent from my team practice, but did make my way up to Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe to hit the slopes and spend time with the family. It was cold, but I did manage to get some running in and the powder up North was insane. Lake Tahoe got dumped on! Yes I’m a skier!!! BAM!
While I was away a few more donations did come in and I can’t thank you enough for the support. I’m currently about $1,000 from reaching my personal fundraising goal for the LA Marathon on March 17th. All your donations go to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia & lymphoma, so if you can keep em coming and spread the word.
Week 7 took place in Pasadena on the Rose Bowl Route. We met up early Saturday morning in the rain to begin our 8-mile trek through the trails of Pasadena. This was the BIG Team practice where all three Los Angeles teams got together to run. Before making our journey into the rain, past the Rose Bowl and up near “Devils Gate Dam” (yes a real name) we were told the amount for our current ALL TEAM fundraising. Drum roll please…Bllllllllllllll Over $121,000 Bucks all going to help find cures and better treatments for Cancer. Thank YOU! Please continue to support if you can.
Also this Saturday is the New Years Race Half Marathon/ 5K in Downtown Los Angeles at Night. Hope to see you there. GO TEAM!!!
You can check out my fundraising page HERE. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
