Boogie Nights was a 1997 film staring Mark Wahlberg and John C. Reilly about the adult entertainment industry set in the San Fernando Valley.
The film, which ended up earning around $43 million at the box office, won a handful of awards and was met with positive reviews.
Last night, Mark Wahlberg was on Jimmy Kimmel Live promoting his new film Broken City, and when he was introduced, the band started playing one of Mark’s songs from Boogie Nights. He decided to join in and give it a shot at singing along.
If you’ve never seen Boogie Nights, Mark and John C. Reilly’s characters are hilariously stupid.
Watch the clip from Jimmy’s show first to hear a bit of the back story, then watch the original clip from the movie.
John C. Reilly kills me, he’s so funny and in this clip, there’s a cutaway when Mark is singing and you see John dancing in the studio…gets me every time!
