WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Singer Chris Brown is under investigation Monday after he reportedly assaulted a fellow entertainer over a parking space in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies responded to a call at 7:48 p.m. Sunday about six males fighting outside of Westlake Recording Studios, located at 7265 Santa Monica Boulevard, officials said.

“Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space,” Sgt. David Valentine said in a news release.

The victim told authorities that Brown punched him in the altercation.
