I got nothing for today’s Viral Video of the Day, so let’s take a look at the new video from an English singer-songwriter who you know from her Billboard #1 song “Lights,” Ellie Goulding.
The song is called “Explosions,” off her second album Halcyon.
I’m a fan of Ellie. She’s got a lovely voice and the way she’s able to layer it within her songs is something special.
Some of Ellie’s influences are Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Kanye, Drake, Bjork, and Lauryn Hill, so you can see she’s got a eclectic range of influences when she sits down to write a new song.
A fun fact about Ellie that I didn’t know is she’s an avid runner who runs about 6 miles a day and has plans to run a marathon. Sometimes you forget that pop stars are just like us.
