McCabe’s TNT LA Marathon Training Journal Week 12
A sea of white T-shirts filled the Dodger Stadium parking lot over the weekend. It wasn’t too long before large puffs of colored powder poofed (that a word) among the thousands of runners and a mini cannon blasted t-shirts and fanny packs as we made our way to the starting line. This was the beginning of “The Color Run!”
From blue to pink the colors flowed in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium. Ha! I’m glad I had the bandana provided at “The Color Run” pick up. If you exposed your mouth you would most likely end up with “Blue Mouth.” I saw many blue smiles during the 5K and the farther you made it on the course the more colorful you got. It was like running through colorful dust clouds with staffers constantly pouring the color dust on passing runners. When you weren’t in a cloud of color you might be taking photos with the city of LA or Dodger Stadium as your backdrop. With our AMP Radio Super capes we finished the 5K in a little over a half hour. Also, a big thanks to Muscle Milk for hooking it up with some chocolate Muscle Milk for our post run recovery. I have to say that was an awesome, fun, entertaining colorful run. If you can make it to the next Color Run it’s May 11th in Orange County www.thecolorrun.com.
I did stay on track with my LA Marathon training and got 10 miles in earlier that morning with my Team… GO TEAM!!!
As always thanks for donating or have even thought about donating. The link to my fundraising page is below. See you Saturday, GO TEAM!
