Talk about a nightmare!

After a five-day ordeal, the passengers aboard the Carnival cruise ship Triumph finally set foot on dry land Thursday night.

More than 4,000 people were left stranded in the Gulf of Mexico after an engine room fire. During that time, there was no plumbing or electricity, foul smells throughout the entire ship, and a food shortage.

But even after disembarking the doomed ship, the poor passengers’ problems weren’t over yet.

CBS News reports that one of the buses Carnival provided to transport people out of Mobile, Alabama broke down on the way to New Orleans! Really?!

Carnival is refunding every passenger and also offering an additional $500 in compensation.
