Demi Lovato needs to be extinguished with the flames she’s burning on her song, “Heart Attack.” Just released on Sunday, the X-Factor judge decided to give her fans a taste of her new material set to release later this year. The single is heavy on the base and soft with the easy tones of the guitar, yet this is no love song.
Fans listening to this may say that this is their new anthem to stay strong even after a heart break . It’s all about “taking risks” in love as she sings, “Putting my defenses up/Cause I don’t wanna fall in love…And every time I try to be myself/It comes out wrong like a cry for help.”
Demi told MTV News earlier this month, “The title is just about falling in love and taking that risk. But, she’s terrified and, by ‘she,’ I mean me. But, I think everyone comes to a point where they feel very vulnerable in falling in love and that’s what I’m talking about.” Whoever she’s referring to, the message is loud and clear with her vocals screaming through the lyrics.
The 20 year old singer has yet to reveal when her album will hit stores however, fans can expect some big plans upon the follow to her 2011 album, Unbroken.
