Macklemore returns with a new type of style and flare with his single, ‘Can’t Hold Us’. The Seattle native rapper hits the hard drums and fast rhymes than his playful persona seen on ‘Thrift Shop’ to give his audience a new theme song for the generation.

The hook is sung by new comer Ray Dalton who almost sound reminiscent to a John Legend like vocalist as he wails, “Tonight is the night, we’ll fight till it’s over/So we put up our hands like the ceiling can’t hold us…”

‘Can’t Hold Us’ is more of a story about a man who’s living the struggle to make it to the top rather than a comedic rap about stained sheets and grandpa clothes.  You take a listen and see the more softer yet grittier side of Macklemore, ’cause according to this song….he’s here to stay.
