Running a marathon is no small feat!

There are over 500 marathons held throughout the world every year with the vast majority of the competitors being recreational athletes.

A lot of work goes into training and preparing in order to get the body and mind in shape to complete this challenge.

I personally have done one and trained like an idiot since I previously had only run a half marathon.

When I crossed the halfway mark, I wasn’t sure if my heart would keep beating, but it did and I felt like I wanted to die!

Our nighttime host here at AMP Radio, McCabe, just finished competing in this year’s LA Marathon…great job, buddy!

People are focused. Some are struggling and in pain, but this year’s winner was a female who finished first with a time of 2 hours, 26 minutes, and 8 seconds…wow!

Needless to say, you don’t want to be messed with while attempting to just finish the race. You just want to keep it together in order to cross the finish line.

Leave it to our buddy Jimmy Kimmel to send out his Cousin Sal to mess with runners as the race passed right in front of his studio on Hollywood Boulevard.
