Christina Aguilera may be taking a break from The Voice this season, but she was more than happy to support her fellow coaches at the big red carpet premiere Wednesday night in Hollywood!

The pop star made a surprise appearance at the TCL Chinese Theatre with some kind words for the new kids on the block, Usher and Shakira.

“I’m so excited for them,” Aguilera told Access Hollywood. “And I know they’re in great hands. It’s like a whole family vibe…And it takes a tough women to take these boys, so I’m here in support of Shakira too! But she’s a tough woman. I’m sure she can handle them!”

Once she got inside the building, she had a chance to speak with our very own Carson.

“She looked fantastic!” Carson said. “She came down to the front of the theater just to say hello to everybody, to show some support. She was like, ‘Shakira! Girl power!’ and the theater went nuts.”

Now the official passing of The Voice torch is complete and not a moment too soon! Catch the premiere of season four on Monday at 8pm PT on NBC!
